The Portland Trail Blazers are looking for a starting center in free agency, and one option could be the Milwaukee Bucks free agent Samuel Dalembert.
The Portland Trail Blazers have inquired about the services of free agent center Samuel Dalembert, CSNNW.com has learned.
The 6-11 center is said to be “intrigued” with the possibilities of joining the Trail Blazers. Portland reached out to Dalembert early on in the free agency process, but so did multiple other teams, CSNNW.com was told.
The Blazers have pretty much been looking at every free agent center at this point. The talks with Dalembert have so far just been exploratory, but there seems to be at least a litte mutual interest.
After playing for the Philadelphia 76ers for the majority of his career, the 32-year-old Dalembert has bounced around the league and played for three different teams in the last three years. Last season Dalembert saw his minutes decrease behind the emergence of Larry Sanders. He reminded everyone of his existence with a huge performance in February, when he dropped 35 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and shot 17-21 from the field in just 27 minutes of action against the Denver Nuggets.
