Boston Celtics‘ power forward Jared Sullinger had to have back surgery this offseason. Sullinger said that he is 100 percent healthy and good to go. But despite that diagnosis he hasn’t had any contact though.
“I’m good,” Sullinger said, via the Boston Herald. “A hundred percent. But I still can’t do any contact though.”
But despite that seemingly promising news he hasn’t been given a timetable for his rehab. The Boston Celtics staff could be simply trying to protect him. After dismantling their team and shipping off Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry they’ll need him to be healthy and available.
“I don’t know,” he said. “They haven’t told me yet. I’m out here just working out with the coaches. I’m just staying in shape.
“I’m on schedule. I’m actually probably ahead of schedule, but they don’t want to tell me that because I might do something dumb.”
He averaged 6 points ad 5.9 rebounds a game last year as a rookie in just a shade under 20 minutes per game.
