As arrests in the NFL pile on top of one another and Aaron Hernandez’s ongoing saga continues in New England, it is necessary to recognize NFL players who do positive things not always on the negative actions of some players.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt has cut a check in the amount of $5,000 for the Bayonne High School football team to attend a football camp. The camp was a three day trip to State College, Pennsylvania.

“I called him up and I talked to him and told him what we needed,” coach Rick Rodriguez told the Jersey Journal.  “I told him, ‘Now it’s your turn to help young Bayonne players’ who are in the same classroom that he was, wear the same uniform he did, wear the same helmet.”

“He said, ‘No problem.’”

And Britt should be applauded for giving back to the community.

“I’ve been staying in contact with him,” Rodriguez said.  “I stress to him I want him to be a good pro, a true pro.  Do the right things, that’s what a true pro does.”
