NBA Free Agency Rumors: Dallas Out Of Running For Dwight Howard

Let me preface by saying I am unfamiliar with this source. I don’t know what his sources are or how he knows this, that doesn’t mean it’s not credible. It just means take it with caution.

His name is Brett Poirier, and this is his Twitter bio:

“NBA analyst/insider. Color commentator for NBL Canada Finals. Sports reporter at TC Media. Couldn’t care less if you think I’m an idiot.”

I mean he has NBA in his twitter handle, so that’s legit. But here is what he had to say:

That has essentially ruled the Dallas Mavericks out of the running for Dwight Howard. Mark Cuban simply said the meeting, which lasted for 3 hours, was fun.

That is disappointing news for Dallas Mavericks fans who will likely be subjected to another mediocre year as they try to get contracts and one year players to hold onto that cap space to make a run again in next year’s free agency.
