Free agent point guard Sebastian Telfair tweeted just minutes ago that he’s “coming home”, though, didn’t exactly elaborate to where.
Both the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets have expressed interest Telfair, so it appears the playground legend will be signing with either of the two teams, more likely the Nets.
I’m headed home!!!!
Telfair is of course a Brooklyn native.
Jared Zwerling, a reporter for ESPN New York says that the Knicks aren’t on the table for Telfair so it appears his “coming home” tweet was directed towards the Nets.
#Knicks aren’t on the table for Sebastian Telfair. So then the #Nets? No confirmation yet.
Telfair spent the past season splitting time between the Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors. Neither stop was particularly good as Telfair struggled with his shot and turnovers, though, did put up quality assist numbers in both stops.
The 32 year old Telfair will join his eighth team in nine years, though, none more desired than his now hometown Brooklyn Nets (assuming that’s the team).
