NBA Free Agency: Warriors Believe Dwight Howard Will Sign With Houston Rockets

It is beginning to appear more and more likely that Dwight Howard will sign with the Houston Rockets, at least according to the rumor mill.

Earlier today, ESPN’s Marc Stein said that if he had to choose, he’d say Howard will sign with the Rockets. That’s in conjunction with another earlier report from ESPN suggesting that the Los Angeles Lakers were ‘preparing for the worst’ with big man and now according to CBS’ Ken Berger, the Golden State Warriors believe Dwight Howard will sign with the Houston Rockets.

Per CBS:

If the Warriors fall short in their pursuit of Howard — and a person briefed on the matter told on Friday that Golden State is of the belief that the All-Star center is bound for Houston — they at least know they’ve added an elite defender in Iguodala to a team that advanced to the Western Conference semifinals last season.

The Warrios are still hopeful that they can lure Dwight to Oakland, but will need the assistance of the Los Angeles Lakers in a sign and trade.
