Phil Jackson might have felt a little burnt by the Los Angeles Lakers hiring Mike D’Antoni. When the Los Angeles Lakers were preparing their presentation to free agent Dwight Howard there was a report that the team asked legendary Lakers coach Phil Jackson to participate.
And it was also reported that Jackson declined to participate in the Lakers pitch to Howard. Phil Jackson though is denying those reports that he didn’t want to be a part of the Lakers recruitment of Dwight Howard.
Error in reporting about my involvement with @DwightHoward meeting. I was amenable to talking with DH, but the meet never came to play.

Lets not forget that Phil Jackson, who seems to be embracing Twitter, reached out to Dwight Howard on the social media network and encouraged him to stay with the Lakers.
@dwighthoward “i’m going up to the country going to paint my mailbox blue.” While i’m there I expect to see you get on board tis ur place

If that isn’t a glowing endorsement to sign with Los Angeles, I don’t know what is.
