Photos of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick wearing a Miami Dolphins surfaced and created a stir. While the usual out burst home town fans have over their stars supporting other teams is usually not paid attention to, Kaepernick decided to buck the trend.

He decided to call them out on Instagram.

“This the hat y’all mad at?” Kaeperick said on his Instagram account.   “I’m goin wear what I want regardless of what you think, all you need to worry about is the fact that I grind for my teammates and the 49ers!  I plan on doin this until they won’t let me in the building!  #ridiculous#y’allmustbebored.”

Previously LeBron James got flack for going to a Cleveland Indians game in a New York Yankees hat. James is also a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

In reality it doesn’t make him any less committed to the team, but fans don’t like to see that. And as a free agents seemingly leave their team via free agency, like we just watched with Dwight Howard, fans are sensitive to these things and at times read too much into them.
