Now that the Dallas Mavericks know for certain that they will not be landing free agent target Dwight Howard, the team is switching their focus to another center in Andrew Bynum. There had been reports in the past few weeks that Bynum was drawing interest from a number of teams including Dallas, but everything should be taken to the next level now that Howard is off the market.
From Marc Stein of ESPN.com:
Mavs’ post-Dwight interest in Bynum is legit. They ARE pursuing him. Yet it’s been made clear they’ll make detailed/careful evaluation first

If Bynum is able to stay healthy, he is a very talented player. Unfortunately, his bad knees have been the storyline of his career rather than his skill set off the court.
Bynum will have to undergo many medical evaluations before landing with a new team, but if he gets the medical green light then he would be a worthwhile signing for any team out there.
