UFC President Dana White announced during the 2013 UFC Fan Expo that the organization has scheduled “UFC Fight For the Troops 3″ on Wednesday, November 6. The event is expected to be aired on FOX Sports 1 with preliminary bouts on Facebook.

The first event was held in 2008 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, while the follow up came in 2011 at Fort Hood, Texas.

No date or location has been confirmed for the November 6 event.

The previous two “Fight for the Troops” events delivered multiple finishes and exciting fights, including one of the ugliest hematomas that we have seen inside of the octagon thanks to some vicious knees from Ben Saunders to the forehead of Brandon Wolff. If you’ve never seen the result of those knees, you can see that here. Only Mark Hominick can compete with that damage following the title fight with Jose Aldo.

There are no fights currently scheduled for the card, but the UFC has looked to use fighters with military backgrounds on their past cards, so Brian Stann, Tim Kennedy, Colton Smith and Liz Carmouche could be candidates to be featured at the event.
