All was going well for Orlando Magic big man Glen Davis during his recovery from foot surgery this offseason, that is until he recently suffered a setback while working out at his alma mater, Louisiana State University.
There’s no word on what type of setback Davis suffered or how significant, but it’s not expected to change his availability for training camp – at least – that’s the hope.
Per the Boston Globe:
Former Celtic Glen Davis was working out on his surgically repaired left foot at his alma mater LSU, where he suffered a setback. Davis missed the final three months of the season with a fractured fifth metatarsal and has been working feverishly to return, but this latest tweak may cause him to take most of the summer off. Davis is entering the third year of a four-year, $26 million contract
Big Baby, as he’s more commonly refereed, to was having a breakout year with the Magic last season before going down with the injury, averaging 15 points and 7 rebounds in 31 minutes.
