Jameel McClain has rehabbed and worked hard to recover from his injury in time for training camp and the 2013 NFL season. He feels that he is ready, but is just waiting for that simple clearance from doctors.

“I’m in shape, I’m working hard, I’m trimming up and getting ready for the season,” McClain told Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. “It’s time for gametime. It’s in the doctors’ hands.

“All I can do is prepare myself the best that I can and be in the best of shape like I am. I’ve done everything I can. It’s in the Lord’s hands now.”

McClain has participated in exercise, individual drills and other limited activities. He hasn’t participated in contact drills however while waiting on a doctor’s ‘all clear’ sign.

When he reports to training camp later this month he’ll take a physical to determine his status.

“Everything has been very positive,” McClain said. “They’ll do what they have to do, and I’ll be ready regardless.”
