Milwaukee Brewers Expect Ryan Braun Back Before MLB All-Star Break

Finally some good news for the Milwaukee Brewers who’ve dealt with an onslaught of injuries and poor play recently.

Just a few days after learning that outfielder Corey Hart would miss the rest of the season and losing third baseman Aramis Ramirez to a knee injury, the Brewers are expecting superstar Ryan Braun to return by next weekend.

The powerful Braun, who’s been dealing with a nagging thumb injury for much of the season wasn’t expected to return until after the MLB All-Star break but after taking some swings and feeling positive, Braun is expected to be on the field shortly:

Looks like #Brewers are shooting for getting Ryan Braun on the field this weekend in Arizona. Details coming on .

Braun was placed on the disabled list early last month with the injury, but has been dealing with the nerve pain in his hand for a considerable amount of time which has derailed his power.

It’s expected Braun will take more live batting practice tomorrow (he’s already taken it today) and if all goes well, he’ll play a few rehab games prior to his return.
