EA Sports Removes Aaron Hernandez From Madden 25, NCAA 14

An Aaron Hernandez card was to be used as an unlockable item on EA Sports’ NCAA Football 14, but the video game giant announced today that it will no longer be available and Hernandez has been removed from the game, along with being removed from Madden NFL 25.

“We made a decision to remove Aaron Hernandez from Madden NFL 25 and NCAA Football 14. Because NCAA Football 14 was finalized prior to our decision, Hernandez’ image still appears in the Nike Skills Trainer,” an EA Sports spokesperson said, via CBS Sports. “However, he is not in the game, and anyone who unlocks that particular Nike Skills Trainer reward will receive an Alex Smith Ultimate Team player item instead. The image of Hernandez will be removed via a Title Update in the near future.”

It is a wise move that had to be made.

The NFL wants to avoid a bad image and having Hernandez in the game would be a constant reminder to players about what he had done.

Kudos to EA Sports for making the right decision.

If there is anyone that desperate to play with Hernandez, you can always create a player.
