When the Golden State Warriors busted out their sleeved adidas jerseys during the season, they were met with a lot of negative reaction. However, that hasn’t stopped adidas from announcing that they will be rolling out the god awful jerseys in larger quantities for the 2013-14 season. It all started in the Summer League with the Indiana Pacers.
While the jerseys are plain, they still look terrible.
The sleeved jersey look is something more suited for rec-league or in your church league basketball games.
Indiana admitted that the jerseys in the Orlando Summer League are being used as a “trial” and they will decide whether or not to rock a fancier version of the jersey as an alternate during the regular season.
It’s hard to imagine anyone getting excited about going to the store and dropping over $100 bucks on a sleeved jersey for any team, but there has to be a reason adidas is using this.
Perhaps they are just going with the old “there is no bad publicity” mantra, because they are certainly getting the Pacers attention.
What do you think of the sleeved jersey look? Is it something you want to see more of in the NBA? Sound off in the comments section and share your thoughts.
