Last season, Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back Doug Martin took the league by storm, compiling 11 touchdown’s and nearly 1,500 yards on 319 carries en route to a Pro Bowl selection.

The success turned Martin into an instant Florida celebrity, which probably assisted in his run in with Miami Heat great, LeBron James, fresh off of his second consecutive NBA Championship.

You would have expected the two Florida based star athletes to hit it off, but apparently not as not only did Martin call King James ‘rude’, he also said he was interesting as watching paint dry.

Per Martin’s Twitter:

Meeting @KingJames was as glorious as watching paint dry.lol

Martin later followed up a comment by a fan, talking about first impressions, with a one word answer:

Rude.

SHOTS FIRED.

Why the two met or what happened to create the awkwardness isn’t exactly known, but whatever the case, it doesn’t sound like Martin and James will becoming BFF’s anytime in the near future.
