The Associated Press announced that the Washington Wizards have signed both 3rd overall pick, Otto Porter, as well as second round selection Glen Rice Jr to deals. As of right now it hasn’t been announced exactly what Porter made with the deal, but AP had this to say about the contract.
Under the NBA’s scale for rookie salaries, Porter was expected to sign a deal that could pay him up to $19.4 million over four seasons, with the first two seasons guaranteed.
Rice was a D-League player with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, but has got his chance to play in the big leagues when he was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 35 overall pick. He was later traded to the Washington Wizards for the 38th and 54th picks in the draft.
Washington announced the signings on Monday.
