At one point and time, former NBA point guard Jason Williams was becoming a face of the league, hard as that is to imagine. That train quickly derailed after Williams all but refused to become Mr. Public Relations, but Williams’ popularity never ceased to diminish.
During the peak of Williams’ popularity (which was oddly during his first few seasons), J-Will was an enigma. He was filling the top spots in nightly highlight shows with his jaw dropping passes. He was one of the few who took part in the infamous Nike dribbling commercials. Needless to say, he put Sacramento on the NBA map well before Vlade Divac and Chris Webber could.
Unfortunately for ‘White Chocolate’, he never got to experience the momentum he helped created in Sacramento as he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Mike Bibby, but the memories of the free-wheeling Williams haven’t left NBA or Sacramento fans alike.
One of Williams’ most famous moves, the elbow pass, seems to top many of his mixtapes and the former NBA point guard who is in China playing in the Legends Tour decided to bust into the bag of tricks, for nostalgic sake.
