Milwaukee Bucks Pursuing Gary Neal

The San Antonio Spurs are reportedly not looking to bring back restricted free agent guard, Gary Neal. Signing Marco Belinelli this summer almost made that a certainty. The Milwaukee Bucks are one of the four teams in the mix for Gary Neal.

According to Gery Woelfel for the Journal Times:

The Spurs could match any offers made to Gary Neal since he is a restricted free agent. The belief is that the Spurs aren’t looking to bring him back. The Bucks make sense since they’ve lost Monta Ellis and J.J. Redick this offseason. Neal isn’t likely to start, but is a good depth and off the bench player. Last year in San Antonio he averaged 9.5 points per game and nearly 40% from behind the arc over his career.

According to Pro Basketball Talk:

The Spurs have 14 roster spots filled right now, match Neal and they have the full 15 (and now wiggle room to add guys) and they would carry eight guards. That’s not likely.
