New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz has been very vocal since signing his 5 year contract extension. Most of his comments surrounded the financial situation teammate and friend Hakeem Nicks is in and pressuring him to return. But it seems like anyone involved in the NFL can’t escape with out a question about Aaron Hernandez.

“Knowing us it might be a full fledged meeting on security, the things we can do or decision-making,” Cruz said on WFAN, via NJ.com. “We take that stuff seriously, especially in the inner-city area where you never know what could happen.”

Cruz while wishing Hernandez the best, acknowledged that he made some bad decisions along the way.

“We just know that it’s unfortunate and we just wanted him to make better decisions,” Cruz said. “As people we understand that things happen but you always have choices and I think Aaron Hernandez had choices and decisions he could have made along the way and he kind of made some of the wrong decisions.”
