New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz signed a big money deal earlier this week that makes him the highest paid slot receiver in the NFL and his quarterback couldn’t be happier. Not only is Eli Manning happy to have one of his top weapons under contract, but he is thankful that he’ll no longer have to discuss the contract with the media. According to the New York Post, Manning said that he’s ready to move forward and look towards working with one of his top targets again.

“It’s going to be nice to not have to answer any more questions about Victor and his contract status with the team,” Manning said.

“It’s great to get Victor signed long-term and before the start of training camp. Obviously, he has been a big part of our offense. He has worked really hard on the field to become the player he is and I look forward to continuing our work together.”

Luckily for Manning, training camps are just around the corner so the questions will finally be focused towards football.
