2013 Outland Trophy Watch List

The watch list for the 2013 Outland Trophy, which is awarded to the nation’s best interior lineman, has been announced. The top offensive guards, offensive tackles, centers and defensive tackles are eligible for the award.

As you would expect, the SEC has the most players represented on the list with 16, while the other major conferences are also well represented — Pac-12 (12), ACC (11), Big Ten (10) and Big 12 (10).

Headlining the list is Texas A&M offensive tackle Jake Matthews, who is filling in the shoes of last year’s winner Luke Joeckel. On the defensive side of the ball, Notre Dame defensive tackle Louis Nix III is the top available player.
