The Milwaukee Bucks have signed Jeff Teague to an offer sheet and the Atlanta Hawks will use the next couple of days to ponder upon whether matching the $32 million offer for four-years is something that they are willing to do. And if Atlanta decides to let go of the young point guard, they could very well consider signing Mo Williams, according to Alex Kennedy.
Apparently, the Hawks have already expressed interest in Williams earlier in the free agency period, but Mo has been waiting his turn. It seems unlikely that he will stay with the Utah Jazz, who now have a powerhouse roster consisting of Richard Jefferson, Andris Biedrins and other similar names.
Mo did say that he wouldn’t mind returning to the Jazz, but he would demand a spot in the starting lineup if that was the case. With Trey Burke around and a season filled with a whole lot of tanking ahead, it seems that Williams will be headed elsewhere. And if Teague becomes a Buck in the next couple of days, Williams could spread his wings and become a Hawk.
