The Charlotte Bobcats are exploring sign-and-trade offers with restricted free agent Gerald Henderson, after making multiple moves so far in the offseason.

According to a report by Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, both parties “…have remained far apart in extension talks and discussions moved away from a contract and toward a sign-and-trade scenario.”

The report also mentions free agent guard Monta Ellis, who has been linked to multiple teams in the previous weeks and could be involved in a potential trade.

Henderson started 58 games last season for the struggling Bobcats, and may get the chance to flourish in a different jersey if contract negotiations fail.
