The Miami Dolphins lost running back Reggie Bush to free agency. They did however land dynamic and fast wide receiver Mike Wallace. Aside from adding talent on the offensive side, they also brought in linebackers Philip Wheeler and Dannell Ellerbe.
“We have a fast offense, man,” Wheeler told reporters Wednesday, via The Palm Beach Post. “We have playmakers at receiver. Any one of those guys can break it open at any time. We have a young quarterback (Ryan Tannehill), but he’s out there playing like a veteran. We have a big offensive line and we can run the power game, spread them out. We can do whatever. Our tight end, we’ve got some of the best tight ends in the game.”
But it’s just not those skills players that can run, Wheeler was quick to note that Tannehill can get moving.
“I played against him last year when I was with the Raiders. He surprised us,” Wheeler said. “They told us he could run in the scouting report, but we never really saw him like that. Then on one play, no one got open and he just darted out in the middle of the pocket and gained like 17, 18 yards on us. I was like ‘man, this guy can move.’”
