Freeman Celebrates All-Star Selection As Braves Beat Reds

Freddie Freeman was announced today as the final player of the NL All-Star team, beating out Dodgers phenom Yasiel Puig. Well he sure did celebrate his selection tonight. Freeman had 3 hits, and 4 RBIs as the Atlanta Braves beat the Cincinnati Reds, 6-5. In a game where the Braves lost Jason Heyward to a hamstring injury, it’s nice to see a happy story come out of the game.

Freeman received the fan’s vote for the National League All-Star team, with an astounding 19.2 million votes. The first baseman will join RHP Craig Kimbrel as the only participants from the Braves in the 2013 All-Star Game.
