With Edin Dzeko possibly looking for a way out and garnering a lot of attention and Carlos Tevez moving to Juventus, Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has indicated that he wants to sign one or two forwards this summer. It seems that City are closing in on landing Alvaro Negredo of Sevilla.

The Citizens have stepped up their chase for the 27-year-old in recent days as they seek a long-term replacement for Carlos Tevez.

New City boss Manuel Pellegrini hinted today the club are looking to buy another striker or two in the transfer window.

And it seems the citizens will have been given a further boost by the news Sevilla have signed a Colombian forward.

With Sevilla essentially securing a replacement for Negredo, it seems that the 27-year-old could be setting up for a move to Premier League.

Negredo has been great for Sevilla, and scored 25 goals in La Liga last season. Only superstars such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Falcao managed to find the back of the net more often than Negredo.
