Oregon Duck Football Player Facing Harrassment Charges

A police report out of Eugene, Oregon, claims that an incident occurred over the weekend involving a 19-year-old female and Tyree Robinson, one of the Oregon Ducks’ top recruits in the 2013 class. Robinson, who was given a citation but not jailed, will be facing a misdemeanor charge for physical harassment and is scheduled to be arraigned at the end of the month.

While not a lot of details are known at the time, it appears that Robinson slapped the girl on the backside during an argument the two were having. It also appears that the girl’s boyfriend was present at the time.

Lt. Kamkar also spoke about the altercation:

From time to time athletes get in trouble just like other folks, and it does get highlighted. We expect our athletes, just like we expect our public officials, to watch their p’s and q’s, and we have a high standard for them.

Robinson was a highly touted player coming out of high school and is expected to play on both the football and basketball teams at the University of Oregon. His twin brother, Tyrell, is also planning on participating in both sports.
