After shocking the basketball world and sliding to the Pelicans at pick six in the NBA Draft, Nerlens Noel will wear No. 5 for the Philadelphia 76ers. Since the legendary Allen Iverson wore Noel’s college number, three, while playing for the Sixers, the rookie big man had to make another choice.

Choosing the number five to represent the the teams who decided not to pick him is a smart choice, though this adds Noel to the growing list of players who have a “chip on their shoulder”.
