NBA Rumors: Boston Celtics Want to Trade Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries

Here today, gone tomorrow – that’s the hope of the Boston Celtics who officially acquired both Gerald Wallace and Kris Humphries from the Brooklyn Nets yesterday afternoon.

With little reason to keep any aging veterans who aren’t part of the franchise’s future, the Celtics have put both Wallace and Humphries on the trade block – not even twenty four hours after acquiring the duo.

Per Comcast Sports New England:

Among the players coming to Boston are Gerald Wallace and Kris Humphries. However, CSNNE Celtics insider Sherrod Blakely has learned that the team may be looking to deal those two. Wallace has three years left on his contract, while Humphries has only one year left on his.

The Celtics currently have more players than they can keep on the active roster, thus the possibility of trades.

As a $12 million dollar expiring contract, Humphries will be the easier of the two to move as Wallace is still owed a hefty $30 million over the next three seasons.

In full Wiggins mode, as long as the Celtics receive some type of youth and/or picks in return, you can expect both players to be shipped out in the next few weeks/months.
