The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to add players on the wing after using the amnesty clause on Metta World Peace and likely losing Antwan Jamison in free agency, so they went out and made the decision to add free agent Wes Johnson to the team on a one-year deal that is worth the league minimum.

The deal was first reported by Mike Bresnahan who is a Lakers beat writer for the Los Angeles Times.

Johnson will join fellow free agent acquisition Nick Young in the rotation, as the Lakers look to fill the minutes that were vacated by World Peace.

When you add in the fact that Kobe Bryant may not be available for the start of the season as he recovers from his torn Achilles, this move was all about adding insurance to the line up.
