Good news, Chicago Bulls fans: Derrick Rose says that he is 100 percent healthy and will be ready to go for the season opener, according to HoopsHype.

Rose’s return will obviously bring a lot of joy to Bulls fans and fans around the league, who have missed seeing the 2011 MVP in action. To everyone’s disappointment, Rose decided to sit out the whole of the 2012-13 season in order to fully recover from a torn ACL. While some have criticized him for not playing when being medically cleared by the team’s doctors, most have been understanding and there is little doubt that he made the right long-term decision.

Before Rose tore his ACL in the 2012 NBA playoffs, he picked up a lot of injuries in the regular season. He has now taken his time and stregthened not only his knee but his body in general, which should hopefully help him avoid nagging injuries in the coming year.
