Jadeveon Clowney is an absolute beast. That is what we know. It is rare that someone with his size can be such an incredible athlete, but Clowney has shown on numerous occasions that he is capable of blowing us away. There is little doubt that Clowney is a Heisman contender heading in to the college football season and a potential No.1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, but the legend of Clowney continues to grow before the season has even started.
First, there was a report that Clowney blocked a field goal during spring practice by kicking the ball out of the holder’s hands. Now we are hearing that Clowney recently ran a 4.46 40-yard dash. One word: wow.
South Carolina’s starting running back Mike Davis sent out the number on Twitter:
Think Clowney ran a 4.46

If that is true, there is no doubt Clowney will be the No. 1 overall pick when he decides it is time to go pro.
At 6-foot-6, 274-pounds, that doesn’t even seem possible, but Clowney has shown before that he is capable of athletic feats that no one would assume can be done.
It should be noted that Clowney reportedly ran a 4.6 40-yard dash coming out of high school, so it isn’t out of the question that he could have shaved some time off of his run by constantly training. It is just mind-boggling to imagine that a man his size can move that fast.
We will find out what Clowney’s real numbers are when he finally goes to the NFL Scouting Combine, but until then appreciate the greatness that we are witnessing on the field and just imagine what he can do next.
