Wayne Rooney is no stranger to transfer rumors at this point. He has been rumored to be looking for a new home not only this summer, but in past couple of years. He ended up staying and will remain with Manchester United for at least another year, after which his future with the club will be reevaluated, according to the Times.
Manchester United may consider selling Wayne Rooney next summer, after the England striker was informed that his future will not be addressed for another 12 months. David Moyes, the manager, wants to see how Rooney performs next season before the club discuss the possibility of a new contract.
Moyes insists that Rooney still has a role to play at Old Trafford, but will have to buy into the role of a second striker behind the former Arsenal player Robin Van Persie, who had a great first year with The Red Devils.
Rooney appeared in 27 Premier League games last season, coming off the bench in five. He managed to find the net on 12 occasions and also assisted 10 times.
