Photo: New SEC Football Championship Trophy

There is no doubt that the Southeastern Conference is home of college football’s most talented teams. Every year, the SEC championship game is one of the must-see match ups of the year and the team that hoists the conference championship trophy has been going on to become the BCS National Champions.

This year, when the SEC champion is crowned, there will be some minor changes to the post-game ceremony. Today, we learned that the SEC Championship trophy received a makeover.

The change to the trophy wasn’t major, but the differences allow the trophy to be much cleaner and sleeker. The top is now rounded and the SEC logo comes to the face of the trophy rather than the top.

Here is the brand new trophy for the Southeastern Conference:

I like it better, it looks more bold and the SEC logo seems to stand out more.
