When you think about words to describe Sacramento Kings big man, DeMarcus Cousins, philosopher probably isn’t one that would roll off the tip of your tongue. But then again, you’re not Shaq, who is getting ready to re-launch his mid-90′s sneaker line with Reebok.
The one time Lakers big man has been working with the new Kings ownership lately and has stressed the idea of working with Cousins to improve his game, so it only makes sense that O’Neal would want to name drop the former Kentucky Wildcat as a player who he’d like to wear his kicks.
The re-launch of the 1992 Reebok Shaq Attaq and the 1995 Reebok Shaqnosis should have sneaker heads going nuts, which is exactly how the Big Aristotle described Cousins, in the most kind of ways when he compared him to 19th century philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.
Per KSR College:
“Right now he’s like the Friedrich Nietzsche of basketball. Friedrich Nietzsche was so intelligent, so advanced that people thought he was crazy. The way DeMarcus Cousins acts, really unorthodox – I like that. That tells me he has something inside.”
