Dallas Mavericks, Devin Harris Trying To Work Out New Deal

The Dallas Mavericks had made a 3 year $9 million offer to guard Devin Harris. All that was left to bring Devin Harris back to Dallas was a simple routine physical. He failed that physical however, x-rays revealed that he had a dislocated toe on his left foot that would require surgery to fix.

Dallas consequently rescinded their offer.

But now ESPN’s Marc Stein is reporting that the two sides are back at the negotiating table.

The Mavericks have signed plenty of guars this offseason including Jose Calderon and Gal Mekel at the point guard spot. They drafted a point guard in Shane Larkin as well. They’ve also signed Monta Ellis as a shooting guard and he could serve as a back up there, but they already have Vince Carter on the roster.
