Greg Oden had entertained the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans as he embarks on his NBA comeback. But the Miami Heat might be the team that is leading the race.

According to Chris Tomasson of FOX Sports Florida:

Greg Oden agent Mike Conley said likely will be few weeks before Oden picks a team Interested teams must continue to sift through medrecords

The Miami Heat used the amnesty clause on guard/forward Mike Miller earlier today clearing over $6 million off the payroll. Miller would’ve actually cost the heat $17 million after luxury taxes. The Heat have the $3.183 million taxpayer midlevel exception available, that could be an option for Greg Oden if he decides on coming to Miami.
