As reported by fellow writer Ben Beecken, Robinson Cano was pulled from the All-Star game after being hit by a pitch during his first at bat of the game.

Now there is a report that Robinson Cano has suffered a right quad contusion after the X-Rays he had taken on his knee came back negative. Not that devastating of an injury, but one New York Yankee trainers will have to keep their eyes on.

As a key player on a 4th place New York Yankees roster, something like this probably won’t be taken lightly. Knowing the New York Yankees, they have the right staff available to make sure Cano will get the attention he needs on that injury.

When it comes to the All-Star game as of right now, Robinson Cano’s American League All-Stars are on top of the National League All-Stairs 1-0 in the bottom of the 4th.  Miguel Cabrera and Jose Bautista put their bats to use as Cabrera doubled, later being brought in by a sacrifice fly by the Toronto Blue Jay Right Fielder.
