UFC middleweight contender Michael Bisping is known for being arrogant, so if the rumor that is floating around the Internet is true, it would be no surprise. Again, this is strictly a rumor, but there is a story making the rounds that Bisping was “greenlit” during a recent sparring session at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card gym in Los Angeles.

“Greenlit” is a term that is used when fighters are sent in to go full speed and send a message during sparring.

Often times, the result for the fighter being targeted can be a pretty solid beating.

Here is the rumor, via Middle Easy:

Michael Bisping visited the Wild Card’s gym in Hollywood, CA to touch up on his stand-up for this upcoming fight against Mark Munoz. Apparently Bisping was going really hard in the ring and disrespecting his sparring partner, so a coach sent in a professional boxer to ‘spar’ with Bisping. Within minutes, this professional boxer knocked out Bisping as payback for disrespecting the Wild Card gym.

If true, the knockout would obviously hamper Bisping’s training for the near future.

There is no confirmation to the rumor and there is a chance that the report could be totally fabricated, but if true it is a big story that we could be hearing more about as the days go by.

Freddie Roach himself squashed this fantasy on Twitter. The guy at MiddleEasy must have been watching some old kung-fu movies when he dreamed this one up.
