ESPY Awards 2013: LeBron James Wins Best Male Athlete

When you are a back-to-back NBA Champion, NBA Finals MVP and the reigning NBA MVP, the chances of you being named the best athlete is sports is pretty high. For Miami Heat superstar LeBron James, that was a foregone conclusion. However, it was officially announced on Wednesday night when James was the winner of the 2013 ESPY Award for the Best Male Athlete.

Not only is James the best player in the NBA, but he is an absolute athletic freak.

Since joining the NBA as a highly touted high school player, James has done nothing but go above and beyond the hype.

Now, as he matures as a professional, James is in a good position to win a third straight NBA title.

If he can do that, his move to Miami and the debacle that was “The Decision” will soon be forgotten as fans around the league truly begin to appreciate the greatness that they get to witness on a nightly basis.
