Kevin Garnett Considered Retirement

Kevin Garnett said Thursday that he absolutely considered retiring this off-season.

Garnett is going into the final year of his contract and will earn $12 million this season with the Brooklyn Nets. Last season he dropped a couple hints about retirement, which I thought he was going to retire for sure.

Being 37 years old, you have to wonder if this season is the last season we will see KG doing his thing on the court. The decision to accept the trade had to be a better option than staying in Boston, due to Doc Rivers being traded to the Clippers.

I reported earlier that Pierce convinced him to accept the trade, waiving his no trade clause. Garnett refused to answer when asked today about how much he has left in the tank. It’s pretty clear that KG is on a ‘let’s take it one year at a time’ level right now.
