After the Dallas Mavericks struck out on Dwight Howard, Mark Cuban and Co. had to go in a different direction. If you want to believe Cuban, the Mavs got everything they wanted and more out of this year’s free agency.
Mark Cuban said the Mavs got everything they wanted to get and "much more"

Since the Mavs have reached a verbal agreement with Samuel Dalembert, it seems that the team is pretty much done looking for players.
Cuban is clearly trying to stay optimistic about the Mavs, but to say that they got everything they wanted is obviously not right. Dwight Howard will be playing for the Houston Rockets next season, and the Mavs have finally given up on trying to find a legit superstar partner next to Dirk Nowitzki. Instead, the German forward will be joined by the likes of Jose Calderon, Monta Ellis and Devin Harris. Harris and Mavs are restructuring their deal, as he is currently sidelined with an injury.
The Mavericks will probably be more competitive than last season, but in a tough Western Conference, it’s hard seeing them making much noise.
