If you were in Nick Saban’s shoes, you’d probably be looking forward to the chance to win a third BCS Title three straight years. Well, that’s why you’re not Nick Saban. He isn’t concerned about winning three in a row, or four in the last five years (he won one with LSU). He’s just concerned with getting better as a team, and if their had work pays off, it would just be an added bonus.
Here’s what Saban said regarding he talks of a three-peat at SEC media day this past week,
I don’t think about it in that regard. I never, ever do. I think the most important thing for me to do is to get our staff, the people in our organization, our players to be as good as this team can be. Can we get them to make a commitment to a standard that is going to let them play at a high level on a consistent basis that they are capable of?
And if we do that, maybe we’ll give ourselves a chance, and I think that’s the goal. That’s what I think about. That’s what we focus on. That’s what we try to get accomplished with the players.
Alabama must be seen as a huge favorite to win again, but anything is possible, as we’ve sen in seasons past. What do you think? Do you believe the Tide can pull off a three-peat, or will we crown a new champion in January; possibly one outside of the SEC? Let me know down below!
