West Virginia dismisses Korey Harris after idiotic robbery gaffe

The West Virginia Mountaineers dismissed lineman Korey Harris from the team Sunday. Harris was arrested back on Friday in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on July 12th in Morgantown. According to the police, Harris and two accomplices broke into a house and held the two residents at gunpoint.

Harris played 11 games as a freshman for the Mountaineers and recorded four tackles.

Now, it’s probably not wise to try and rob people if you’re a recognizable football player. And it is definitely not wise to try and rob people if you’re a recognizable football player who happens to be wearing team-issued sweatpants with your jersey number on them (as Harris was at the time).

Does nobody remember how to rob?

Also, it looks like Cliff “We Smoked It All” Harris finally has a challenger for Dumbest Criminal Decision Made by a Collegiate Player with the Last Name of Harris Award.
