Despite spending an offseason dancing with the stars, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver and kick returner Jacoby Jones has failed to pass the conditioning test at the start of the team’s training camp. As a result, the third place finisher of the latest season of ABC’s dancing reality series has been placed on the non-football injury list.

The conditioning test is a series of timed interval runs and Jones will soon have another crack at taking the test. According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, players typically pass on the second try

Jones was still present for the team’s minicamps and OTAs so his failed test is a bit puzzling, but plenty of players fail the test before camp every year.

During the offseason workouts, Jones was serving as the team’s No. 2 wide receiver opposite Torrey Smith thanks to the departure of Anquan Boldin. Last season, Jones caught 30 passes for 406 yards and one touchdown. He made the Pro Bowl as a kick returner.

I guess dance isn’t as great as a workout as it is cracked up to be.
