John Wall: "Next year is a breakout year for me"

John Wall is feeling great and playing at the Team USA minicamp in Vegas right now. After missing the early parts of last year’s season, Wall is determined to remain healthy and take the Washington Wizards back to the playoffs. He also believes that everything is set for him to truly have a breakout year and rise to NBA stardom.

“Next year is a breakout year for me,” Wall told RealGM. “I’m not really going to talk about it – I want to go out there and play and let my game do the talking. I want to be in the playoffs. That’s my goal. That’s my only goal.

“Four years in, I got to start seeing what the playoff experience is like.”

Over the course of his first three years in the league, Wall has only made marginal improvements and currently finds himself in the tier just below the superstars of the league. As the Wizards and Wall’s agent are working on a contract extension, Wall seems determined to finally explode and live up to his star potential.
