Los Angeles suffered without Hamilton in the lineup, losing the first two against the Twins and squeaking by with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday. The Angels just got done with a series against the Athletics when Hamilton suffered an ankle injury against them on Sunday.
Right now, the Angels are virtually tied with the Seattle Mariners in the American League West, both teams 11 games back of the division-leading Athletics.
Having Hamilton back in the lineup could spark the Angels in what is a very important series for them. With the final two months of the season around the corner, the Angels must rebound by taking any chances they have left with the Athletics and Texas Rangers.
