Vanderbilt coach James Franklin jumps off cliff (video)

Things are lookin’ up for perennial SEC punchline Vanderbilt. Not only did the Commodores go 9-4 last year, the school’s most successful season in almost a century, but their coach (James Franklin, pictured above) jumps off cliffs for fun. I don’t know about you all, but if I were to play football, I would definitely want to play under a coach willing to risk internal injuries for a cheap thrill.

The footage below was shot by personnel coach Andy Frank (turn the phone sideways! For the love of god, how do people not know this yet?!) and features wide receivers coach Josh Gattis providing the narration.

If I was a fan of another SEC school, I’d be fearing the Commodores right about now. Never mess with a team that is led by a crazy man with no fear of death. And never mess with a school that once accepted Skip Bayless, because clearly that’s a sign of severe mental unpredictability and perhaps a connection with the Dark Arts.

The Commodores kick off their season against Ole Miss on Thursday, August 29th.
