Dion Jordan expected to open season as “third-down specialist”

First of all, Dion Jordan’s hair no longer looks like this, if you haven’t seen what it looks like now, either Google it or it should be on FanSided somewhat. It’s pretty funny, anyways, down to business.

Dion Jordan, the 1st round pick of the Miami Dolphins, is expected to open the season as a “third-down specialist”, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Jordan’s defensive role could grow over the course of the year, but Olivier Vernon appears to have Miami’s right defensive end spot on lock. The Dolphins have 3 quality defensive tackles in Randy Starks, Paul Soliai and Jared Odrick.

Jordan will be used like San Francisco 49ers’ Aldon Smith during his rookie season. In Cleveland, the Browns are also planning to ease Barkevious Mingo in as a sub-package rusher. I mean, look at Aldon Smith in San Francisco, I’m pretty sure what they did with him worked out well, right?

Could Dion Jordan be the Miami Dolphins, Aldon Smith? If it is, with him and Cameron Wake on the same defensive line is going to be a dangerous combination in the future.
